In Australia, Julia Lawrinson is best known for her writing for young adults though she also writes for children. Her most recent novel, Chess Nuts (Penguin), was a notable book in the Children’s Book Council of Australia awards in 2011. Another book, 8 to ten year olds, Famous!, was recently translated into Chinese.
